Locality Map Project

The Locality Map Project has sprung from the Parish Locality Map and aims to support the rural community, promote tourism and the historic environment and protect and enhance biodiversity in and around the Parish of Lanchester.  You can download a copy of the locality map here, or a summary leaflet here.

Over the next 18months the project will be delivering a program of training based around the landbased economy, the historic environment and wildlife. Our training pages provide information about what training has already been provided, upcoming training days or to download our training request form.

Volunteers are at the core of this project and there are many ways you can get involved. You can find out what volunteer opportunities there are with the project and with other groups in the area here.

A program of events to celebrate and promote the many facets to the Parish will be ongoing throughout the projects lifetime. To find out if there are any that take your fancy check out our events section.

Our news section will hopefully provide an outlet not only for what's happening with the project but what's happening around the Parish too. Do you have something you'd like to tell someone about? a product you'd like to shout about? This space is for you.

To contact the project email Sue, the projects development officer, or give her a call on 07585 001 355
