Farming Group

The first meeting of the Farming group was held at Colepike Home Farm on the 24th January.

Initial discussions included:

  • With rapidly increasing energy and water costs a discussion was had on ways to reduce these costs.  Initial ideas included gathering information about alternative energy technologies and to research successful projects.
  • It was felt that it would be difficult to introduce a local brand for local produce but that it would be a good idea for the project to investigate this further.
  • The group disscussed the training request form and initial training needs identified included computing and first aid
