Your Council
Lanchester Parish Council is made up of 15 members elected every four years by the people of Lanchester. The Full Council meets every month on the second Tuesday at 7.15pm at Park House, Lanchester.
The council also has four sub-committees, Planning, Finance and General Purposes, Recreation and Appeals. The Council may also form ad-hoc informal committees to co-ordinate certain projects or tasks.
Lanchester Parish Council seeks work in partnership with all our parish organisations and undertakes joint projects such as the development of Park House Community Play Area and the Parish Plan.
The present Council was elected in May 2007 and currently has 10 Labour members, 2 Derwentside Independent members, 1 Conservative member and 2 Independent members.
